Problem Statement

Home was designed to be the user’s library. It was never intended to be the home page. Users being championed by multiple champions have a hard time knowing what to do next in a specific growth context because they have a integrated Queue. Users need a relationally focused place to receive value generated by their formal growth partners. In addition to growth relationships, we need to solve for how Champion Organizations create value for their users. The Core Interaction is built upon value delivery and feedback creation. Home was currently built around content consumption and misses several key principles:

Growth happens in relationships.

Content is a catalyst. It’s fuel for the relationship. It cannot replace the relationship.

People grow in different topics with different people.

Most people do not self activate for growth.

Research Findings

Emerging from research, we synthesized the findings and bulleted out key takeaways that served as guiding principles as we continued to iterate on and refine primary screens and interactions.

Early Concepts

Cross functional brainstorms helped uncover current pain points and reveal opportunities for improving the user experience. Sketching workshops, whiteboarding sessions and wireframe explorations helped refine our concepts.

Product Lab Validation and MVP Definition

Design cycles concluded with product labs where internal stakeholders, partner organizations and new users were able to respond to concepts and UI decisions.

Coming out of our product labs, I worked directly with the product owner to define the MVP. Through lots of communication and collaboration, we used our findings from early research and qualitative product lab feedback to inform final design work.

Design and Prototypes

Moving into more thorough user testing, we built two high fidelity prototypes in Principle and tested the designs on device.

Detailed Designs

After testing 3 different prototypes with over 15 people we concluded the testing phase and moved on to detailed designs and got the files ready to be passed to developers.
